With vast experience in emergency management and pre-hospital care, Ms. Whedbee enjoys the constant fast pace of her position. She must always be ready and available for all emergencies and she enjoys the opportunity to make a difference in the outcome of tragic situations. Attributing her success to her flexibility and passion for health care and helping others, Ms. Whedbee advises for others in her field to study hard and stay current with new techniques, technologies and procedures. When she is not working as a registered nurse she teaches emergency medical technician classes at Spoon River College. She is an active member of the Regional Medical Emergency Response Team and enjoys reading the Journal of Emergency Medical Services to remain abreast on current health care matters.
Ms. Whedbee graduated from Carl Sandburg College with a associate degree. She is certified in pediatric advanced life support, pre-hospital trauma life support, and advanced cardiac life support and as an instructor of advanced cardiac life support and as a CPR instructor. She retains affiliations with the Local Emergency Planning Committee and the Emergency Nurses Cancel Alcohol Related Emergencies Program.
