With unparalleled expertise in the health care field, Colleen McGuire Washburn lends more than 40 years of industry experience to her position at Orange Regional Medical Center in Goshen, N.Y. Now celebrating her 27th year with ORMC, Ms. McGuire Washburn utilizes her nursing background to manage recovery room operations. She spends much of her time assisting with surgeries, rendering critical care, tending to patients in recovery, and handling various responsibilities as a charge nurse.

Selected for inclusion in “Cambridge Publishing’s Top 101 Industry Experts” book, Ms. McGuire Washburn notes that her success is directly related to her ability to empathize with patients. She enjoys working in a hospital setting because it affords her the opportunity to observe her patients’ improvements and assist with their recovery in a direct and profound way. In addition to her honors from Cambridge Who’s Who, Ms. McGuire Washburn was presented with the Shining Star Award — an achievement of which she is especially proud.

Ms. McGuire Washburn holds an Associate of Science in nursing from Orange County Community College. She also earned certifications in advanced cardiac life support, basic life support, and pediatric advanced life support. A certified post anesthesia nurse, Ms. McGuire Washburn is an affiliate of the American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses. She looks forward to her future in the nursing field and intends to work at the newly-renovated ORMC facility, which is expected to be the most state-of-the-art, level II trauma center in New York’s Hudson Valley.
