An expert in perianesthesia and postoperative care, Dr. Aimsiri has over four decades of professional experience in health care. As the staff nurse at Permanente Fontana Medical Center, Dr. Aimsiri assists patients in pain management, promotes public health nutrition programs and conducts lectures. With such vast success in her industry, Dr. Aimsiri feels that her dedication, determination and continual quest for knowledge separate her from her peers.
Prior to her current position Dr. Aimsiri was the night nurse charge for the perianesthesia care unit at Loma Linda University Medical Center from 1998-2002, she has also held positions as shift coordinator, team leader and clinical nurse of the multiple trauma intensive care unit at the Loma Linda University Medical Center. Fluent in English, Thai and Chinese, Dr. Aimsiri has been a guest lecturer and teacher in China, Singapore, Bangkok, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand. She has served as Director of Nursing at Youngberg Adventist Hospital in Singapore from 1992-1994, chairwoman of the basic science department and nursing educator at Bangkok Adventist Hospital School of Nursing from 1973-1976, associate dean of women at Bangkok Adventist Hospital School of Nursing, and charge nurse of the Medical-Surgical and Intensive Care Units at Bangkok Adventist Hospital from 1967-1968. Dr. Aimsiri was honored in 2001 as Alumni of the Year from Bangkok Adventist Mission Hospital in Thailand.
Dr. Aimsiri earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in public health nutrition from Loma Linda University in 1995. She also holds a Master of Science in Biochemistry from Loma Linda University earned in 1978, a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Philippine Union College (now Adventist University of the Philippines) earned in 1972, and an associate degree in nursing and public health midwifery from the School of Nursing at Bangkok Sanitarium and Hospital earned in 1967. She is a registered nurse with the state of California, the Republic of Singapore, and Bangkok. She holds a certification in high-risk neonatal care from Loma Linda University Medical Center. Dr. Aimsiri is also a registered dietitian and certified critical care registered rurse with the state of California, and a registered midwife with Bangkok, Thailand.
A well respected professional in nursing, Dr. Aimsiri was an understudy vice president of patient care services for Florida Hospital Waterman and of patient care services with White Memorial Medical Center in 1994. Continually dedicated to helping others in any way she is able to, Dr. Aimsiri has volunteered her skills and experience in many capacities throughout her career, including as mass cardiopulmonary resuscitation instructor at Singapore Cardiology Society in 1987, critical care instructor at China-Japan Friendship Hospital in Beijing, and as a nurse at a Cambodian refugee camp in 1980.
