Lufkin, Texas | November 22, 2010 | Jan Leila Brown, RN, CNOR, has been recognized by Elite American Nurses for her dedication, achievements and leadership in nursing.
Experienced in perioperative nursing, Mrs. Brown has nearly four decades of overall professional experience. From 1973 to 1978, Ms. Brown was an operating room tech where she gained the desire to work as an operating room nurse. As a registered nurse, she is responsible for perioperative nursing, travel nursing and overseeing pre-admission. She enjoys her profession because of the opportunity to help patients and she likes the people she works with. She attributes her success to her passion for nursing and her determination and drive to accomplish her goals. She advises others in her industry to never give up and always stay positive in order to succeed.
Ms. Brown is a member of the American Heart Association, Mothers Against Drunk Driving and the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses. A certified operating room nurse, she earned a registered nurse designation in 1978.
