With 30 years of professional experience, Ms. Jenkins attributes her success to her upbringing. As a registered nurse at Affinity Medical Center, she is responsible for working in the emergency room. She handles doctors’ orders, treat patients, and give medications. She has also worked at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital.

As a nurse, Ms. Jenkins motto is “all that does not kill you makes you stronger”. In today’s environment nurses are given more responsibilities and patients are sent home too soon often leading to a return visit to the emergency room; however Ms. Jenkins knows that the work she is able to do in the ER is both very rewarding and beneficial to her patients. The appreciation she receives from her patients makes every day a rewarding one.

Ms. Jenkins received her Nursing Diploma from Massillon Community School of Nursing. A certified emergency room nurse, she holds certificates in palliative care, trauma, advanced cardiac life support, and basic life support. She is a member of the Emergency Nurses Association. In 2009, she received the GEM award (Go the Extra Mile) twice for working extra shifts, making no medical errors, and having no abscences.
