Marie A. Williams, MSNP is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner for the Dialysis Unit of UHS, a health care network and premier provider of hemodialysis care and services. With a strong background in internal medicine, Ms. Williams is responsible for tending to more than 100 patients every week, and overseeing all aspects of dialysis care. Ms. Williams has been a registered nurse for more than 34 years and has worked in hemodialysis for the past five years. She helps those with special needs in her free time. She earned a post master’s certification in psychological and mental health counseling, and because she is ever-passionate about making valuable contributions to her field, Ms. Williams remains abreast of trends and developments in nursing. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Syracuse University and a Master of Science in Nursing from Binghamton University, and she is a member of the American Nephrology Nurses’ Association, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and The Nurse Practitioner Association of New York State.
