Specializing in rehabilitation, long-term and geriatric care, Ms. Kubacki has dedicated 47 years to the nursing industry with genuine enthusiasm and passion. As a registered nurse, she is responsible for overseeing the infection control unit, performing infection audits and providing in-patient services, including complex wound care, nutritional counseling, skilled nursing care, social work, and dental, optometry and podiatry services. In addition, Ms. Kubacki parlays her comprehensive experience to others by serving as a nursing educator in various professional avenues. She delivers AIDS awareness training programs at schools and government agencies, and teaches general nursing in-services and infection control to caregivers in home health settings. Prior to her tenure with the Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Ms. Kubacki spent five years working as a home health nurse for Community Health Resources in Antigo, Wisconsin. In the early 1970s, she served as a staff nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she honed her skills and created the foundation that has led to her longevity in the industry. In her first health care role, her self-motivating work ethic led to the assignment of charge nurse in the neurology research unit of the Milwaukee County General Hospital. Ms. Kubacki has 50 years of combined professional experience, which has helped her accrue a cornucopia of achievements based on her hard work and dedication. The highlight of Ms. Kubacki’s career was being named Professional of the Year in Infection Control Nursing by Cambridge Who’s Who. Similarly, she was exclusively selected to represent the entire nursing industry in Cambridge Publishing’s Top 101 Expert Resource for 2008. An advocate of resolving the United States’ health care issues, Ms. Kubacki is a two-time recipient of an outstanding nurse of the year award and a one-time recipient of a VIP nurse of the year award. Ms. Kubacki earned a diploma in advanced nursing from Marquette University in 1964, after having received a diploma in nursing from the Milwaukee County Medical Complex School of Nursing. In her spare time, she participates in industry-related initiatives such as the AIDS walk and the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life fundraiser. Moreover, she volunteers as a crisis line operator for the Advocates for Victims of Abuse in Langlade County organization. In the future, Ms. Kubacki intends to continue nursing and educating others about the importance of infection control. Likewise, she hopes to enjoy her longtime hobbies of gardening, reading, camping, traveling and spending time with her husband, Kenneth.
