With 42 years of professional experience, Ms. Ciolkosz attributes her success to her dedication, and to her father and grandfather, who stressed the importance of education. As the restorative coordinator for Morningside Health, she was responsible for coordinating restorative staff, and keeping track of material. She also taught nursing assistants at Lakeshore Technical College. Ms. Ciolkosz served as the director of the first hospice program for visiting nurses for 11 years and as an intensive care unit nurse for 11 years.

Ms. Ciolkosz is a former member of the Wisconsin Hospice Home Care Association, and the Wisconsin Chapter of The National Intravenous Therapy Association, and is the first president of the Sheboygan County AIDS Task Force. In 1994, she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Concordia University. She became a registered nurse in 1967 through Mercy Hospital School of Nursing.
