Ms. Thomas celebrates her third decade as a clinical instructor at First Coast Technical College, where she has carried over her caring, conscientious and dependable nature from nursing to the classroom. She is primarily responsible for overseeing all aspects of the practical nursing program, including didactic and clinical experience. She stands out as a favorite instructor as a result of her dedication, communication skills and the strong relationships she develops with her students. Ms. Thomas’ expertise in health care education proved instrumental when she assisted in the organization of a new dental assistant program, which she currently directs as well.

Ms. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science in nursing from The Ohio State University and a Master of Education from the University of Florida. She stays abreast of industry changes through her professional affiliations with Florida Nurses Association; Association of Practical Nurse Educators of Florida; American Nurses Association.

Nancy L. Thomas, RN, BSN, M.Ed. was originally selected for inclusion in Elite American Nurses in August, 2011.  We are proud to be featuring Ms. Thomas again in Elite American Nurses for 2012/2013.
