Ms. Cobbs began her 26-year career in health care as a unit clerk at San Francisco General Hospital. Inspired by the position, she decided to enter the field of nursing. In 2000, she graduated from the University of California, San Francisco, and attained an adult nurse practitioner position with the City and County of San Francisco, which she still holds today. Utilizing her knowledge of psychiatry, Ms. Cobbs assesses medical issues of clients with severe mental problems in order to distinguish if the issues are true physical medical problems or psychiatric symptoms. 

In five years, Ms. Cobbs hopes to retire from her county job and concentrate on growing the Healthy Living Foundation into an international organization.
