A dedicated and passionate professional, Laurie A. Knight has served in nursing capacities for almost two decades. She always wanted to be a nurse and do her part to assist patients in receiving the highest quality health care services. Ms. Knight currently serves as a registered nurse at Centura Health, a nonprofit organizations that connects families and individuals with physicians. Before joining Centura Health, Ms. Knight worked for HealthONE for 17 years. She became well versed in working with patients in numerous health care settings, adapting to her changing environments, and providing critical care. In her current role, Ms. Knight is responsible for providing care to premature babies in the neonatal intensive care unit, making assignments, and serving as a resource for nurses. Ms. Knight also enjoys being able to teach and train other nurses. She is a certified NRP instructor, BLS instructor, and stable instructor. The winner of the Nurse Employee of the Month award in 2010, Ms. Knight attributes her professional success to her hard work and loving what she does. She intends to continue providing stellar health care services to patients while getting more involved in teaching baby safety classes.
