Linda Krogstad Wagner is a registered nurse and the chief executive officer of Senior Care of Brevard, an adult daycare center that offers health care to Alzheimer’s and other dementia patients. It provides stimulating activities, therapy, personal care, training, support groups, counseling and mentoring. Inspired by her favorite childhood book, “Nurse Nancy,” Ms. Krogstad Wagner entered the health care industry more than three decades ago. She changed her focus to working with disabled adults and people suffering from debilitating ailments when her husband was diagnosed with a rare brain disorder and dementia. In her role, Ms. Krogstad Wagner is tasked with supervising the day-to-day activities and operations of the faculty, remaining involved in activities with clients, handling administrative work, schedules, grants, education updates and evaluations, and overseeing facility construction. Ms. Krogstad Wagner has been involved with many facets of the nursing profession, such as the emergency room and emergency evacuations by helicopter. She attributes her success to her hard work and passion, as well as to her close relationship with God.
