Gloria M. Beckford gained an interest in the health care as a young girl when her mother took her to a nursing home. She didn’t like the atmosphere and decided that’s what she wanted to do, take care of patients. Ms. Beckford has dedicated 47 years to the nursing profession and has been serving as a recovery room nurse at Glendora Surgery Center for the past two. Recognized for the level of patient care she provides, Ms. Beckford is responsible for monitoring patients in the recovery room and mentoring up-and-coming professionals. For her exceptional work, Ms. Beckford was honored with the Employee of the Month Award and Nurse of the Quarter Award by Foothill Presbyterian Hospital. Ms. Beckford is a registered nurse who attributes her success to treating others the way she wants to be treated.
